Bum-pkin Painting: A Baby's First Halloween Tradition

Oct 22, 2015

Autumn means pumpkins, which means Thanksgiving, which means Halloween...

This craft is adorable to the power of ten. Mamas love them some cute baby bums, so we are painting some and plopping them on canvas for a one of  a kind keepsake craft. There are sure to be plenty of laughs along the way, too...

We strongly suggest using canvas for this keepsake craft, as it is the easiest to catch the print of a wiggly bum without it smudging. But a good, heavy piece of cardstock will work too.

SUPPLIES

  • canvas (or cardstock)

  • orange, brown/green paint

  • paintbrushes

  • wipes

  • marker or sharpie

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Lay your baby on their tummy

  2. Grab the orange paint and a paintbrush, and paint that baby's bottom!

  3. Taking your canvas, press it onto baby's bum and remove

  4. Using a paintbrush, paint the stem of the pumpkin on.

  5. OPTIONAL: draw or paint the outlines of the rivets on your bum-pkin
